Our third meeting took place in Struer from Sunday 24 March 2018 to Saturday 30 March 2019. The Danish students made a video that puts together the best parts of this wonderful week and so did the French.
On the first day, we were warmly welcomed by the school staff and the Danish students, who had one of the high school bands play their best songs for us. Then, in the afternoon we headed to Bang & Olufsen, a high-end luxury Danish consumer electronics that was actually founded in Struer itself.
We were given a tour of the factory and also entered what you might call the house of the future: a house that obeys your every command and treats you to high-quality music – even when you are on the toilet – and got us thinking about how we use and interact with technology.
We also got to learn more about the various impacts of technology at a lecture in Aarhus, which is the second largest city in Denmark. This was the perfect opportunity to visit the stunning ARoS “art” museum, where we were given a private tour. Of course, the visit wouldn’t have been complete without a stroll on the iconic circular skywalk rainbow panorama. What a view!
